    Default Richard Hammond on photography

The arrival of the digital camera has done many things for many people. Granted, it's buggered the job up pretty badly for the companies to whom we used to send our films for processing, and it has rather killed off the glorious anticipation of waiting for the returned wallet of freshly minted snaps to drop through the letterbox - before turning out to be a load of blurry shots of rainy days in Cornwall.

But the digital revolution means I no longer have to endure long, cramped hours in the airless cupboard under the stairs, sloshing bits of photographic paper around in trays of developer and fixative to coax an image out of my poorly exposed rolls of Ilford Fp4 and emerge with the shots that would hopefully make my name as a creative visionary.

I've noticed him carrying his camera on some of their overseas-epic-race episodes.. aside form those three guys, the biggest reason i can watch Top Gear endlessly is for the photography..

Same, besides National Geographic. I think they have some of the best camera work on TV right now.

Maybe the photography is good.. Great even.. But they need to work on their filter usage... Personally I think they use too strong ND Grads to add "mood" to the skies to the point that it stops looking real...

A photo needs to start and finish in your imagination, if it passes through your camera in between, that's cool, if it doesn't, that's cool also.

I hate Top Gear with a passion. EVERYTHING is so ludicrously setup, it wouldn't be so bad but they try and make out that it isn't. The only thing worse than Top Gear is Top Gear USA

Ouch! Two of my favorite shows. They make me laugh, more than the "comedies" currently on righ now. I guess that's why we have 500 channels these days.
