Default Up at 3:30 am..for a 3 hour drive..After 4 1/2 hrs sleep...

Hoping for some photos of Red Fox and misc during the day and Short Ear Owls this evening around sunset. Then a 3hr drive home.

We should get to Bombay Hook around sunrise and get home by 9pm.... Yep, I said "we". My wife is actually going to go with me!

A high of 36* with 20mph winds today....

What I won't do in hopes of great photo ops.

Reminds me of getting up at 4:00 to try to get pre-dawn hot air balloon launches, only to have them canceled for weather. DOH.

Don't think I got any great pics...First trip to the area; at least now I know what's there and where, the logistics etc.... Should be great come the Atlantic migration this spring.

One of the highlights of the day was watching a bunch of coots try to run across the ice with a tailwind....Imagine some terribly ungainly ducks running and getting blown across the ice slipping/sliding/splits/ and face-plants...I probably have a shot or three of this! Sounds "cruel", but damn it was funny!

Oh snap! I was out on a job on Saturday. Left at 3pm, 2 hour drive, finished at midnight, 2.30 hours back. Got to bed about 4am, up at 8am to take the van back. When I got home I thought, "meh, I'll just grab a few hours" .... woke up at 4pm fail. Then, surprisingly, I fell asleep watching TV at 11pm. Woke up at 2am, couldn't get back to sleep :P

And so is my life... :P
