Guys
Again need your quick suggestion. I am on location of my valentine's day party shoot. I have white and black backdrops. Considering my struggle with single lighting system and the shadow that couldn't get rid off, should I go for black or white BG. What would you choose? Is there a reason for selecting white or I should go for black or I will be restricted with black. Sorry for asking such a silly question at this time. Awaiting your suggestions at the earliest. Thanks.

I suggest you take both.. But before you go, try it. Personally I'd choose purple or red for valentines day. White will give you a nice background, but if you've been having problems casing shadows on your backdrop, black would be better..
But instead of trying to fix the problem by hiding it, why don't you try getting the lighting right before you go. Sounds like your not using a diffuser, your backdrop is perhaps too close and or the angle you're holding the light at is wrong..

I'd go black, it will hide the shadow until you can work out how to fix it and I imagine a lot of people will be wearing red - the black will make the red dresses punch a lot more than white. If the men are wearing dinner suits, tell them to take their jackets off lol

Thank you all for the responses. I did go with white and glad that the shadow problem was that bad as I expected. Still long way to go, I need to learn how to use my lights better. I am sure with DPS, I will fix it. Thanks again!
