Default Identifying old photo

Hello

My mother had this old photo sent to her, possibly taken by a family member and possibly pre-WW1. How can I go about identifying where it was taken?

I've tried locating any place called "Sharaban" as it says at the bottom of the photo, but haven't found anything solid.

Thanks.

here you go:

Shahraban City .... Historic depth

shara ban appears to be another name for this city, you just missed the space.

the photo looks middle-eastern in terms of the architecture/building practices too.

Thank you! It's Muqdadiyah, which used to be called Sharaban.
