Default Auto-start video ads

In the last couple of days I've been subject to noisy, auto-start (on mouseover) video ads for Deal Chicken in threads.

Very annoying

I feel your pain. I hate the one's that are on long webpages, and they're located in some random corner that you'd never look at if you weren't trying to stop the damn ad. What's worse is the ones you Can't stop. I was on a website to buy something the other day, can't remember what it was. And there was a damn ad that couldn't be paused.. I left because I was tired of listening to it.

"Yes I realize I could've turned off my sound lol"

How would it be a mac issue? it's an ad. If you have a no-ads firefox plugin, they might not show.

Sorry, I should have said 'safari' issue, if that is what you are using to browse.

I have no 'anti-ad' plugins on firefox, and have not experienced these issues here, thats why I wondered.

I use firefox. And it doesn't happen a whole lot, but it does happen. And I do use an ad-blocker lol. I visit a pretty wide range of sites daily though, so the more time you spend looking around, the more likely it is you're going to notice it.

It's not a video: it's a mouseover flash ad. I think I know the difference.

It shows up between posts on the thread page. It's not ALWAYS a video/flash ad, but when it is all you have to do is run the cursor over it and it starts.

I havent seen it since I made this thread, but i had been seeing it for a few days, 9 threads out of 10.
