In this case it's entirely true. I do suck, but I can't find anyone willing to tell me that in a way that will help me improve.

Thanks for sharing!

"What's your motivation, to get a hundred likes instead of just ten? There's an easy recipe for that. Start making pictures of cats. Better yet, kittens... kittens and children. You'll soon be more awesome then you could possible imagine."
Hehehe..

This article sums up exactly why I post a lot of my images on here for critique... sometimes I dont see glaringly obvious flaws, my friends and family think they look great and so I need the expert eye of people on here to say "hang on a minute what the hell did you do that for?"

I want to be as good as I possibly can be, and to do that I need a more trained eye to show me the way... So whilst I may 'suck' at photography I certaining suck a hell of a lot less than I did a year ago thanks to many of the good folk on here

Peer review is always the best way to grow

Jim,
I already know I suck, so thanks for reinforcing the point. I can't even get "likes" on the rare times I post a photo on my facebook page.

I suck, but I still have fun. I suck at skiing too but I go every year because I enjoy it, and in the end that's all that matters.

NOT ME!! Every image I take is Pulitzer Quality
Ask me and I will tell you and if you do not like my image you have bad taste.

Seriously I still believe the old film adage. out of each 36 exposure roll of film you get one keeper. Out of every 36 roll you get one Good image. In the digital age it need to be amended to discount the machine gun effect (lots more images fewer keepers).

True.......I shot almost 2400 pictures of Snowy owls and ended up editing out all but 940. From those I sent 26 images to United Press International and then maybe the best 100 to Photoshelter. I really SUCK!
