Default Art Institute of Denver

My daughter is preparing to attend the for photography.

My question is has any one attended the Art Institute and was it worth the effort? She has been pursuing a career in photography for a while now and looking to get educated on it.

CGTalk - Art Institute - Hate It or Love It?

They're a for-profit, it would appear they don't have accreditation. This may or may not matter to you.

I attended the AI of Pittsburgh(online) for half a semester and then dropped it completely. It was not what I'd call a traditional way of gaining an education. I've talked with a few ladies that were there at the same time as me, and same field, and none have been able to get a job. One even mentioned a potential employer 'laughed like a little girl' when she mentioned she went to AIP. Their 'teachers' are facilitators, nothing more. You're more likely to get an education doing it on your own rather than going to one. It's a joke, and a huge waste of money. But that's just *my* opinion.
