Default I'll take that as a compliment!

I ran to walgreen's pharmacy to get some of the maternity pics I took for my daughter printed. Normally I order from mpix but she wanted them before her baby shower sat.

When I went to pick them up they asked if I had a business card and made me sign a waiver stating the pics are mine because they look too professional!...

Whatever, but I will take it!

I had a similar run-in at Walmart a few years ago. Went to the wedding of a friend's daughter on a Saturday and wanted to surprise them with a framed 11x14 at Sunday brunch. Sent the shot to Walmart via the Internet for one-hour service. Went there and got a frame and when I went to get the photo they gave me grief about needed a release from the photographer. Finally they let me have my picture. Strange that you have to justify yourself to a clerk.

It's all well and good until they deny you your prints because they're not satisfied.

Well like I said I usually order from mpix, but it was kind of an ego boost even though I know anything that is in focus probably looks professional to them. It wasn't really a hassle, just took a minute to fill out the paper. Glad I have always given a release to friends I have given pics to though.

Think I may just get some of those free vista print business cards made up, just in case it happens again though, so I can just say yeah I am the photographer here is my card.

I've had this happen in Costco also, I had to sign a letter for them to keep on record so that I could print in the future without headaches.. As you say, it's a nice little ego boost, as long as it doesn't get in your way!

Glad everything turned out ok. Haven't had that issue yet, but I usually go to a photo lab to get prints. If you can swing it, might be a good idea to develop a relationship with a local lab in the near future.

We don't have any local labs. Just the pharmacies, walmart, sams, costco. I like to use mpix but was in a hurry this time. I have used walgreens several times and never had a problem, guess that means I am getting better.

Costco uses the same printers as Miller's, etc.
