How would you guys think i should convince 'clients' (friends) that they shouldnt pluck the photo from facebook and print themselves, instead ask me to print it?
Other than the colors will be accurate, but i dont think that'll apply since im printing through a kiosk and not professional printing. Thanks for any responses

Put a big ass watermark across any facebook print. That will convince them. Of course, I've seen slide shows where the kid in the show has several pictures with "proof" across the picture in big letters. it might not stop them...

All my facebook photos are watermarked, low res and set to 1dpi (just incase it actually makes a difference :P)
You know what the industry could do with; meta data for restricting printing that is set to the client computer or printer itself and stops it.

Exactly, so, its either i print myself or a professional printing service that gives you those color profile things? How much would a 4R print usually cost?

As long as it has your name watermarked on it, its a form of advertising.I encourage my high school seniors and what not to tag their friends and share their portraits. AND, explain that altho they can share the photos, the ones posted on FB are not uploaded with the resolution and DPI they need to print a quality photo. Most understand and comply and I get a ton of business from the tags and sharing

I'd add this to the contracts as well as embed it into the IPTC field in every photograph.

Out of interest Jim, where did you get the $150,000 figure, is that a legal cap or did you make it up?
