Hi all,
I was browsing ebay the other day when I stumbled across a lot of Cokin filters, thought they were a bargain, and only had a few mins to go, until after I bought them and then realised there is more than one type, these are the smaller A type ones I've now got. Not a problem really, until I notice that to get an adapter for my 2 58mm lenses it will cost more than the original purchase! Please do research first people! Jon P.s. anyone got a few 58mm Cokin A type adapters going spare?

Have you thought about buying a step-up or Step down adaptor ring?
I keep 77mm rings and filters for everything as that's the size of the largest lens diameter I have, and use the step up adaptors to put everything else onto them works great. Even for my 52mm diameter 50mm lens. Seriously, not expensive: 58mm-77mm 58-77 mm 58 to 77 Step Up Filter Ring Adapter | eBay

Thanks for the reply. I think the problem is that I have bought the A-series filters/holders, but the A-series adapter rings are now more expensive as they're older.
Edit- ignore me, I could try a step down adapter as the set I bought comes with a 55mm adapter, might not be perfect but I'm sure it'd be somewhere to start practicing. Edit 2- Bought a pair, £3.58 for 2.
