Have the opportunity to put together two really great subjects in documentary style format (i.e. music, voice overs, stills with tiny bit of flip video footage). One is the growth of a school garden/nature program with pics going back 9 years to be used by the school for admission purposes and to share with other schools interested in that kind of program. The other is handling the dying of a mother in a household of mentally challenged young adult sons (this was my sister and her family).
I would like to work on these in something where I can get amazing transitions/sound clarity/and decent learning curve. Has anyone used Final Cut Pro X? Are there other programs to try that would do a good job? I am shooting with a D-7000 and have used a Flip for the footage (not knowing I would do this project). I have a Mac Book Pro, several years old, and am willing to buy, within my budget, what I need. Any other documentary suggestions would be so, so appreciated! Am applying for a grant to the Santa Fe Photography School in March of shooting photos to tell your story... that would be inspiring too. Thanks! |
