Unhappy Have to Rant

But I'll make it short:

YESTERDAY
I find out I need major surgery on my ankle---cost $too friggin high to mention!!

My foot has been re-molded for a SECOND pair of orthotics--cost $500

I had the pleasure of having my ankle shot to the max
with cortisone and a cast to the knee--cost $500 including orthopedic surgeons fees

my husband ends up at the dentist having an emergency tooth extraction--cost $160

15 minutes after leaving the doctor i get pulled over for speeding--cost $100

TODAY
gas man arrives to fill our LP tank--cost $400

15 minutes ago my hard drive crashed on my just over 12 month old laptop--
read-"sorry, but it's out of warranty"---
cost--$ don't know, I may just say f*** the whole thing and spend the money on Jack Daniel's..........

and by the way, it's only 11:30am......plenty of time for more shit to go wrong today!

End of Rant

You have my sympathies, that sounds like a terrible horrible very bad no good (2) days.

If you want to look on the bright side, you're on the right side of the grass.

I can feel your pain. I had been at work for one hour this morning when one of my employees called to say she couldn't come in cause she is at the hospital with a massive kidney infections, then another calls to say her dr wants to schedule her surgery for this friday, then another calls to say she has strep. So I have to figure out how to get through the weekend with basically no staff.

A very impressive rant and well deserved. Best wishes on a speedy recovery and I hope you didn't lose much on the HD crash. I have a feeling you are a good backer-upper. Take a deep breath and press on.

Sorry about your woes Michelle - but remember, it could be worse!

I know that doesn't help much, but it's true. Your friend Jack is a good idea

Hi Michelle,

Sorry that this year is getting off to a rough start. I sure hope it gets better for you soon! Also, I hope your laptop was backed up on a regular basis & that you don't lose anything important!

Thanks Everyone. Well, the hard drive is gone--just in from having people waaaaaaaaaaaaay smarter than I am try to retrieve something off the damn thing. I'm very, very, very, lucky that I did just back everything up---EXCEPT--all the work I just completed on my 6month old baby shoot from Monday!! I can only be thankful that I'm hurt and was so tired Tuesday by the time I finished with them that I walked away and left my memory card in the PC. Normally I would have pulled it and re-formatted the card by now! So that was a very close call that honest to God gave me a gut ache---which is all the more reason I need to start drinking more Jack!

AND---I'm gimping by right now on the laptop running an operating system I know nothing about! I no longer have Windows.......and I've been told that my Photoshop is no good to me now, along with several other favorite programs I used! I'm going to have to pay to have Windows re-installed, but the guy at the computer place felt so sorry for me, he slipped me this disc with this operating system on it....something called Ubuntu, and also Lenix is on this disc.....lol.....I'm so clueless....
