Default Things I never thought I would say while photographing...

Mine happened a few hours ago to the great merriment of my boys....

"Oh crap! Baby Jesus has a penis!"

Yes, may lighting strike me, I said it. Nobody knew what I was talking about as my middle son thought that was some "old fogie" version of a curse word slang

Its Mardi Gras here and I bought a pretty Mardi Gras King cake. If you don't know what they are or the tradition of them ~ lots of fun and they are all over the internet. The basics are a little plastic doll (who is supposed to be Jesus) is hidden inside the cake (which is more like a huge cinnamon roll) The person who gets the slice with the baby Jesus in it gets to buy the next king cake. This goes on all through the Mardi Gras season.

I wanted to get some REALLY cute macro's with the baby Jesus that came with the king cake I had bought. I pulled out all my gear and went to town! I got some really cute shots.... until I uploaded them on the computer and saw them blown up. It seems our plastic baby Jesus is anatomically correct. Since most of the shots I had a shallow DOF with all focus on this tiny doll..well..errr... I yelled rather loudly, "Oh crap! Baby Jesus has a penis!" LOL

What am I going to do with all of these photos I took HA HA The kids had already dug in and ate half the cake before I noticed the appendage....

ETA: here is a wiki links explaining them and there is a rated G photo of one lol

HA HA

I have yet to neuter poor baby Jesus. I think it might be one of those deadly sins they forgot to mention in the bible.

ETA I uploaded it but since I don't have permission to post in the nude forums I will just place the link here rather then embedding the image hehe

Well just to be safe from going strait to hell, I am working with another photo with the baby completely cropped out.
I am not taking chances on ticking the big guy upstairs off

I was enthralled with the seriously wavy glass in a 150-year-old building while hanging out at Fort McKavett in west Texas last November, and took this picture with my then-brand new first ever DSLR in an attempt to capture it:

Just this morning I noticed something funny about it ..........

Geeze.....
