Default The best part about sunrise photos =)

Hubby was off work this morning and I wanted to get some pretty sunrise photos. We asked the kids (remember mine are all teens) if they wanted to come down to the river with us before the sun was up.... you can guess their answer lol

So it was me and the man of my dreams of almost 20 years standing down by the Mississippi river watching the sunrise...all very romantic. He even carried my tripod for me =)

Then after the sun was up, we packed up and went to IHOP without the kids!!
It isn't often we are able to sneak away for a few hours, especially breakfast.
We lingered over coffee and got to speak like real adults without having to give anyone a dirty look. It was nice.

Of course when we got home our daughter came to hug us. She then proceeded to yell to her brothers, "THEY HAVE PANCAKE BREATH!!!"

Anyway... sometimes those sunrise photos are the best ones. Not because of the photo but because of the time spent alone with someone you love. Too often we are rushing from work to kid functions and practices. Its nice to just sit and watch the sunrise while holding hands

I couldn't agree more. I finally watched my first sunrise in many years the other day with no camera. Just my wife and I sitting and watching an amazing sunrise. It was a really nice moment for sure.

What a lovely way to start your day! Good for you, for being able to take some time to spend just with your hubby.

Agreed! My hubby and I have 5 kids, but they are still too young to stay home alone (5-11years old). But I just LOVE going out in the morning with a good friend for the sunrise. Many times I'll only take a handful of shots and just sit and enjoy the rest of the time. And definitely stop for coffee on the way home!

I know what you mean, I have been there! Its hard to find a good babysitter and while mine were younger there were many times hubby and I would have loved to sneak away for a few hours. They are now 17,15 and the baby is 11. They are the ones that try and sneak away for a few hours NOW!!!

Even though they are older and can be left alone, its still hard finding that alone time with hubby. They are all into different after school activities and we are usually running place to place in the afternoons/evenings.

My parents both just retired and get to spend every waking moment with each other. My mom swears up and down to be careful what you wish for! LOL
My brother and I have bets going how long it will take until one of them ofts the other.
they have been married almost 50 years and my mom says its not love, its a competition to see who is going to live longer hehe
(my parents love each other VERY much ... they just like to kid around.. I hope...)

And hubby is understanding about this good friend, Stephanie?
