Default Oh Darn....

My lovely wife has just volunteered me to take some free portfolio photos for someone on her art course.. I really can't say "no" because she's a friend of my wife.. How would you handle it??

Oh.. Almost forgot.. She's a professional burlesque and pole dancer.

I'd use the last sentence as an excuse to spend a lot of time on 'colourful' websites, and otherwise enjoy the opportunity...

+1. It's always good to do research on your subject. Lots of research

So how many photo sessions do you think I'll need?? 7, maybe 10?? Just to get the photos just right?? I really wish my wife wouldn't volunteer me for such things while I'm away.. She could have at least asked me first.. Tsk.. Now I have to go photograph a 20 sumthing while she spins about on a pole semi-naked, or even with fewer clothes than that. D'oh.. It's such a tough one this.. I'm only doing this as a favour to my wife.. You know me, I'd never voluntarily photograph naked women half my age..

I'm leaning more towards the 10, possibly even as many as 12. As Metallion said, that lighting situation is going to be a nightmare. And you definitely want to make sure you maximize the possibility to get some great shots.

Yes. This project just got a lot more involved. We're going to need to scout locations...lots of locations. Probably need to get in a few weeks just location scouting.

Here's hoping you don't need a wide angle lens.

I'd be inclined to tell her 'no' and let her figure out how to explain it to her friends how she messed up.

Then again, my wife and I understand that's its rude to do that to one another and it has never happened.
