Default Cool under fire

Wife went into labor at 3am. I still had the poise to grab the right gels for the delivery room lights. #FeelsGoodMan

So not only did you grab the gels, you're also on a forum while you're wife's in labor? And you're still alive?
Congrats!

My wife was very proud of me the day our twins arrived. She had a C-section, and I was there with my 5DII and 50mm 1.4, snapping away (there were some pretty gross photos). It's really hard to take good photos in that situation.

At one point, a nurse took my camera and snapped a couple quick photos in the operating room while I held one of my boys. Then they said "It's time to go into the recovery room...would you like to carry your child or the camera?" I chose my boy.

Congrats on your new little one.

My wife's labor with our first child was going really slow, so I had to leave the hospital to get lunch. I'm with my sister-in-law, at the Cook-Out (drive through only, greasy greasy food, and the best milkshakes ever) getting some hot dogs and a milkshake. I get the call that things are finally starting to happen. I come back to the delivery room with the milkshake. My wife still hasn't let me live that one down, but in my defense, it was a good milkshake.

She's drifting happily along in a Nubain haze, so I'm safe for now.
