Since I am working on photography so much, the family and I have tried to come up with new places to go ~ or ones we haven't been to in a while. Today I will be getting a ton of use out of my macro lens because ... we are going to the bug zoo!!!!

This is always an interesting trip. They usually have the bug cafe open where you can dine on cooked bugs. My hubby and kids LOVE doing this ..me not so much hehe

Anyway, wish me luck on catching those squirmy little critters behind glass!! I did buy a cheapy monopod at walmart this morning for the trip. My good one won't be here for another week. I can't see doing indoor macro shots of bugs without at least a monopod!!!!

I also volunTOLD my 15 year old he is my assistant today. He will be my voice activated flash stand. I am going to try and trigger my speed lite from another angle to get more light without the reflection.
