Ok, I'm ready to listen to the Apple [insult deleted].
What is it that makes Apple so much better than anything else to do graphical work on? Hm? I'm asking a very simple question. As far as I can tell: - Hardware is the same - Same software (CS5, Bryce...etc) - Monitors are the same (can be the same) So, please, try to sell me on the notion that I need a Mac to do graphical work because it's better. Dollar for Dollar i'm not sure a Mac is any better than anything else. Please tell me how my photos/work will be any better than PC or Linux. Please learn me good. PS - Arguments that are not accepted are: Virus' - Has nothing to do with graphical work; ergo erroneous argument, Hardware failure rate (same hardware)- Also, erroneous argument, Ease of use - Also, not a qualitative graphical argument...etc...etc... I think when it comes to technicalities, like what it sounds like your asking, its just a brand preference. Maybe a lil OS. I'm a PC, and a serious Apple computer opponent. Dollar for Dollar, you can customize a PC to get the same performance as an out-of-box Mac. Matter of fact, you could probably even get the same specs for less, if you know where to go for parts. I think the Mac OS versus Windows is a huge selling point for them. BUT, I think the reason many people don't like Windows is because they don't know how to use it. Yes,...it is a bit complicated at times, but if you know how to handle it, and use your computers internal troubleshooters and how to properly maintain it, then it shouldnt be an issue. It's like maintaining a car. To me, Mac is for the computer illiterate, and I dont like the restrictions of them.
I know that doesnt anwer your inquiry since I'm not a Mac user, but it's my take on why I think people go Mac over PC. |

That's another thing I dont get. They combined Intel processors with AMD graphics? What?! That's like wearing two different brands of shoes at the same time. |

Yep, just a little four banger.

But people who obsess about building PCs are overweight socially awkward people who can't get laid and live in their mother's basement playing WOW and comparing liquid cooling systems. So in the realm of gross generalizations, Mac folks still come out ahead. Quote:

lol, I know. I said that at the bottom. It's just like I said. Dollar for Dollar, I dont think there is much of a difference.

lol, ok. On the gross generalization, I can see your point to a certain degree. Although I think we're both biased on our views. The second quoted makes me sound like I'm some valley girl idiot, and THAT I dont appreciate. It just seems odd to me to use Intel with AMD and not AMD with AMD. But eh,...whatever floats their boat. Makes no difference to me either way. Now,...to quit this, and get back to the OP's original question. |
