Default Grab a Frame From Video Clip??

Hello all,

Question. I have a friend with a short video clip of a huge buck walking through the woods. Is there a way to "stop" the video when it hits the frame he wants and save it as an individual image??

Should be, depending on the video source. Is it a video file? A youtube clip?
I play most standalone video files with the program Media Player Classic - Home Cinema, and that has an option in the file menu to save a frame as an image file. I think a few DVD software players have similar options.

Your pc also has a screen capture function built-in. When you have the video player frame on your pc screen, you can press the PrtScn (print screen) button on your keyboard, open up Paint (or PS) and paste the screen shot into Paint. You can then crop the image so only the video frame is left. Or, when you play back the video, you can click the video player window then press the Alt key, then PrtScn. That should allow you to capture the video player window only so you won't have to crop later.

VideoLan will allow you to take a snapshot of video at your choosing, and will also allow you to slow the playback so you can hit the right frame. Not to mention it plays just about any video you can throw at it, and is cross-platform so you can use the same program on Mac, Windows, or Linux systems.
