Default Cameta Camera

Thoughts, impressions, recommendations?

I've used Adorama and B&H almost exclusively but found a deal on a new body through Cameta. Just wondering how their warranty service stacks up etc...

I am currently purchasing a lens from them. They have asked for me information regarding my c/card as verifying c/card transactions from overseas must be problematic caused by fraudulent transactions. So I'll let you know.

Two years ago I wanted to order from them through eBay and my country was not on the list of countries they don't deliver to, but when I placed my order I got an e-mail saying they don't deliver to Bosnia. I was pissed off by that, but yeah, their feedback is very high so they must be good.

I bought a package from them in October. When I bought it on-line I got my confirmation number and then 5min later I got an email telling me there was something wrong with my address...I thought for sure I'd just got jacked so I called the 800 number...of course I'm on the West coast and their on the East so I got the anwser machine ( also it was a Sunday night ) anyway I called them Monday morning ( didn't sleep for crap that night ) the lady I talked to said she didn't know why it wanted to send my package to Bosnia lol.
Anyway she fixed it and I got my stuff 3 days later and I love my 60D.

Bought a Canon T3 and some accessories from them last month (was considering Adorama, but Cameta had the best price at the time). Shipment arrived on time, everything was in perfect condition.

Well, they wanted us to jump through hoops for a credit card payment (mind you I did this over the phone at about 2am in the morning and the consultant never asked for any extra info) and I couldn't pay by Paypal because the only international confirmed accounts are the UK and Canada - never heard anything like it. So while I think they are honest, they are not my favourite dealers. And the order is cancelled.
