Default 85 mm lens giveaway

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that Crave Photgraphy is hosting a giveaway since they reached 25,000 fans on FB. She is giving away a 85 1.2 Canon or a 85 1.4 Nikon... plus some other stuff. Just thought I would share here! Thanks, Happy New Year

I hate contests like these. I'd love to have an 85mm 1.2, but I'm not going to "like" some photographer I've never heard of just to get the very rare chance to get one.

You & me both.. Kinda makes nonsense of the "like" system.. Anyway, I've already got a Nikon 85 1.4.

It's easy enough to like something, then once you lose the contest it's easy enough to unlike it, too.

Reminds me of a story:
Quote:
A criminal was to be executed. The day before his execution, he was permitted to speak to the king. He said, "King, if you stop my execution, then in one year I can teach your favorite horse to sing. The king was incredulous, but curious. He agreed, saying that if the horse didn't sing in one year, the prisoner would still be executed. The prisoner went back to his cell. The next day, and every day after that, the prisoner was taken to the king's stables to teach his favorite horse to sing.

After a month, his cellmate said, "That horse is never going to sing. Why are you wasting your time?"

"A lot can happen in a year," said the prisoner. "The king might die. The horse might die. I might die. But perhaps, the horse will learn to sing."
Yeah, it's a 1/25000 chance of winning. But it took me about 40x longer to write this than it will take to like and then unlike the thing. I'll take my chances.
