Default Just a couple ??

First off.. what website are most of you using to store your photos on for people to link to and see? I've been using deviant art but wondering if there is something else out there that others would suggest over it.

Second. Can someone explain what differences i would see by changing to a FF camera body vs a crop body. Im shooting with a Canon T3 right now and am thinking about getting a more capable body in the future.

Thanks

I use Flickr, mainly for uploading photos to here and for sharing with family/friends.
Haven't tried any others so can't compare.

I also use Flickr because of the ease of use with DPS. I do not have any experience with full frame. I'm still trying to learn my Canon T2i.

I use Photobucket.. let's you upload more photos than Flickr (the free version). Downside is it doesn't show exif data, not as far as I can tell. Don't have experience with much more than this.

Flickr for the communities and general posting.

Zenfolio for when I cover events.

500px for the very best.

---------------

I shoot both will full a full frame body (Canon 5D & 40D) and crop bodies.
Full frame body better IQ especially at high ISO - keep in mind a crop body may be able capture a better image in the first place because of possibly superior focussing and higher frame rate, for some subjects.

Also keep in mind good lenses can make a huge difference and a full frame body may show up deficiencies. in lesser lenses.

I use flickr for my good shots, 500px for my good fine art shots and recently started using smugmug for my professional shots.

As for FF vs CS, there really isnt all that much difference once you get over the fact that it crops in your lenses. Sure there are some more "features" available on the FF cameras, but Image quality wise, you probably wont see much if any difference is image quality on the crop sensor vs the full frame camera. I have a 60D and a 5D and i can honestly not tell you which picture used which camera. I use both equally, and they both have features that the other doesn't. You have the t3i which has the same sensor that my 60D has and the 7D has, so you wont gain anything but features by going to either of those bodies. Going to the 5D or 1D will allow you to use ultra wide angle lenses, but thats about it.

Upgrading your t3i to anything but a 5Dmkii will yield you nothing as far as image quality goes.

60D is what i had been thinking of getting. I that will let me take pictures faster and i know that one will shoot almost 3fps faster.. (t3 is 3fps and 60D is 5. something if im remembering correctly.) I dont often need the higher fps.. or at least havent up to this point. but when i did need it and didnt have i was frustrated.

When you say the crop bodies crop your lenses, you mean that im not getting all i can from the lens and that the lens would be able to see more on a FF? Sorry im just new to all of the technical stuff on this.

What do you mean by better IQ

IQ is just short for Image Quality.

The 60d does shoot faster than the t3i, but not that much faster. Twice as fast as slow, is still slow. You will gain next to nothing by upgrading to the 60d from the t3i. Everything that is "better" is merely incremental. If you truly want to upgrade and get your money's worth, I'd suggest the 7D.

The 60d is a great camera, but I'm not sure there is enough value from what you currently have to justify the cost. It's up to you though, you know your needs.

I use Flickr because this part of Photobucket's T&C turned me off:
