Default Working 9 to 5

Or whatever hours you work. What do you do when you're not shooting? I know that not many of us are full-time professional photographers, so I'm curious what pays your bills?

I actually got my degree in photography, but I've worked in healthcare software support for the last 4 years. I solve software bugs, implement new features, and keep my part of the system running.

What do all y'all do?

Not even close to a pro photog. I operate a low field MRI unit for four orthopaedic surgeons. I also shoot xrays. The photography is a hobby.

It looks like healthcare in one form or another is popular with photobugs. I am a registered nurse but currently not working.

I'm a Project Manager for Global Projects for a Multinational. My camera comes to work every day almost. It pays well and I get a lot of opportunity for travel, not as much as I'd like, but more than my wife likes, so I guess it's a reasonable balance.

9-5 would be nice, but impossible.. I work about 80 hours a week.

My 9-5 is photography and editing for a top 100 internet and b&m retail company. More than 50% of the shots on our site are done in house and we are always updating old shots with new models. Making signs for the retail stores, commercial stuff for emails, homepage shots. Occasionally a nice project like a billboard. It does kinda suck the fun out of it (or at least doesn't leave me with any time to get out and shoot my own stuff except weekends). But I still enjoy it and feel lucky to be doing something I love and getting decent money for it.
