Default Apples are hard to photograph!

I wanted to share the conversation I just had with my 17 year old son. Its times like these I count the days until I can ship him off to college! I was photographing apples for practice. I was testing different lighting techniques and effects. As I was downloading the photos to my computer he walked in and said:

Him: Thats just creepy! You know I have to eat those, right?
Me: I was just practicing. Its no big deal
Him (looking at photos): I didn't know apples were such fast little buggers your photos are blurry.
Me: I will have you know apples are very hard to photograph!
Him: apparently! Its bad enough you are taking pictures of my lunch but so help me if you start taking shots of my dirty underwear I am out of here.
Me: Don't tempt me!

If you start posting photos of his dirty underwear, you're out of here.

So apparently your problem was in trying to photograph MOVING apples. Start with static apples, they're easier

LOL no kidding!

I was trying different techniques on my camera on manual along with lighting. Its a new camera and I am just learning photography techniques.

Its okay though, I have a photo of him flirting with the 16 year old girl that lives 2 houses down from us. i am sure his girlfriend would just LOVE to see that photo
