Default Creating a photobook with Exif info?

I don't know if it is the scrapbooker in me or maybe just the way I try to organize info.

Does anyone keep their photos in a book or something like that with exif info beside the pic?

I am just wondering if this wouldn't be helpful in working on techniques. (For me that is.)

Having macro pics in one portion with different settings, etc. showing different examples, and then adding on from there.

I know all the info is on my computer-but having to go back and look at exif info is cumbersome at times.

Anyone have any thing they did that helped?

Maybe it's my film background, but I have never found exif info all that useful. Every lighting situation is different, and you can generally tell from the image itself if it has a large or shallow depth of field and if there's motion blur in the subjects. Learn about the law of reciprocity and then just do what the light meter says.

That being said, I know there are some programs that can easily grab the exif data. I haven't used them. The stuff that came with my camera is cumbersome at best when it comes to copying the data to paste in forums like this.
