Default Paypal and stuff

Anyone know what "PAYPAL *EUNIQUERES" is?

I have it on my (company) bank statement but can't think of anything I've bought that was paid through a paypal gateway. The banks only info is "Professional Services". The amount implies a collection of items or a USD-GBP conversion. My bank account isn't linked to my paypal account though :O

Any ideas?

You've been hacked. It happens. Call your bank, call Paypal, try to get everything reversed.

Not neccessarily, I might just not be able to remember :P It's a payment to a "company" who only accept payments using paypal so it could be a number of people. As of yet though I haven't tracked it down. I'll see what the statement update brings and then get it cancelled :P Just can't find any reference of "EUNIQUERES" on the net anywhere

It means "eunochs" in French.. Sounds like the kind of professional service you might want to keep to yourself!

Paypal usually lumps multiple words into one for its references.. So you may be looking at "e-uni queres" or something like that..

Is it for a lot of money?

Did you log into your Paypal account to see the detail of the transaction? You can see the exact name of the person who's behind that name and there's usually a link to the item (if you did pay for something but don't remember it).

Yeah I checked through Paypal, but the payment didn't come from paypal (plus I have a stash of money in paypal for funding paypal purchases), the money came out of my bank account into the "shops" paypal account. Like when you pay for photo comp entries and that. Usually the "shop" will have some kind of relevant text so you know what it is, this doesn't :P

Is that like an ox? My brain is reading that like a portmanteau between Eunuch and Aurochs.
