Default LensSkins,....Really?

Found this on Pinterest. I'm not so sure what I think about it. On one hand its kinda cool, but I could only see hobbyist's going for it. I'm no so sure it would portray "professional" if you showed up with these on your gear.

What do you lot think?

I've seen a few around myself...

Here's a post by NvN about it.

They would appear to be completely pointless.

Well... if I had an nice, expensive DSLR, I don't think I would put stickers all over it. Those are pretty cool, but I probably wouldn't buy some. Just because, well, there are better ways to spend your money on.

But that leopard fur one looks really awesome.

At least you can remove those. This, however, you cannot unless you want to soak it in paint thinner. *barf*

LoL.. I think if you went to a job interview in an office with a leopard skin jacket on, then people would probably wonder if you were able to take the job seriously. If you turned up to a wedding and your camera was wearing a leopard skin jacket, then people would probably wonder the same..

Personally I'm not into decorating my computer, my iphone or anything else. The only thing I have that I've decorated is my motorbike.

I'm not usually the type of person that will purchase this kinda thing, but if the design appeals to me, I may be swayed. Something subtle like carbon fibre may persuade me, hmm.. not sure, I'd have to see an example.
Personalising your phone, laptop, car, house isn't new ..so why not your camera?

Carrying a dslr in public places invites enough attention already. Don't think I'll be buying this anytime soon.

In your experience, for what reasons does it attract attention?
