Default new year's resolution?

ok... i know it's early but i've made a decision about what i want to do in the new year. Instead of trying to market myself as a photographer, trying to get more paid gigs, etc., i'm going to focus on developing my own, personal style. I'd like to get back to the original joy I had when I started taking pictures. I hate the business end of it and i'd really like to get back in touch with my creative side. I will continue to attend workshops and local group shoots, but i will go with the intent of wow-ing myself, not networking to get new clients. I figure once i'm consistently creating work that i'm amazed by, the rest will fall into place... and if not, i still have a day job

what do you hope to accomplish in the new year?

If Wal-Mart and Lowes are any clue, we should be planning for Valentine's Day already. After all, they started x-ma$$ in October.
So new year's is a perfectly acceptable topic.

I'm going to do another project 365. I did one in 2010, and had to take a BIG break from it in 2011. It was VERY tough. I'm thinking of doing an "End of the World" Project 365, starting on Dec 22, seeing as how according to some people, the world is supposed to end on Dec 21 2012.

Well I hope you don't get any material for this project

Lol.. Just cos the shops plan for Xmas in October doesn't mean we have to wish our lives away.. I'm not about to let the marketing gurus plan my life for me.. If Ido ill be poor and unhappy with a house full of stuff I don't want, waiting to die... Not fun.

I started on the resolution earlier this year. I decided to get back into good shape and the weight I should be. Only thing is I started in August and am nearly where I need to be, so I figure my resolution from now on is to get things done when I think about it, not put them off to be next year's resolution

My New Year's resolution is to leave the toddler with hubby and go out alone for photography practice more often!

... the other resolution is to get pregnant so these are a little incongruous!!

I am starting a course of study next year and possibly a new job. I would like do more photography though as I don't seem to have done much this year. So I am thinking about a 52 week project, maybe with a bit of a diary to go with it.

We had our family Xmas dinner & presents thing on Sunday as my sis & BIL are going to visit his family for Christmas. So the big dinner & gift giving is all done already, feels like Christmas is over already Still have Christmas Morning with the kids to go though, then off to Mother's for lunch *sigh*

I never make New Year's Resolutions. I've found that if I feel something needs changing I should start to make that change then. Not wait until New years. I won't have anymore ability to change than than I do right now.
