Default advice or suggestions please?

Hello
I have a bit of a problem and would like to ask some advice or suggestions about how some of the other photographers here would handle this.
I am putting together a calendar for a local historic site, and have taken numerous photos to be included. Due to state budget cuts, the calendar is to be used as a fund raiser, and I have done all of the work at no charge so that the site will be able to keep more of the profits from the sale of the calendar. The only "payment" that I am asking for is to be given credit for the photos and having my name listed on the final product.
Since the calendar will have the official logo of the site on the cover, it must first be approved by several officers, directors and marketing people.
Here is where the problem comes in, and where I would like to get an opinion.
The test print has been submitted, and when I was contacted today I was told that there are several changes to be made. There are a few of my photographs that they would like to take out and replace with some photos from another photographer that works at the site. The photos were sent to me tonight, and I feel that they are in rather poor quality. Since my name will be listed on the calendar as the photographer, I do not want people thinking that this is an example of my work.
I have spent a considerable amount of my time and effort on this and have done so at no cost to the site. I am very upset right now and am considering pulling the project. I can understand that there may be some changes here or there, but to have my work pulled and someone else's substandardwork substituted really bothers me.
I am curious what some of the other photographers here would do in this situation.
Thanks.

Ask for individual photo credits on each photo so that it's clear who took what.

Considering your time and effort, I'd pull out unless they turn things to your liking.

This. You won`t have to worry about people confusing you with another photographer, and if his/her work really is substandard, another bonus for you, since it now makes you look better in comparison.

What Jim said. Then ask to see the comp before it goes to print to make sure the changes were made. Sometimes, those kinds of things don't get communicated to the designer or printer and you are stuck.

"substandard"...rather subjective....
Granted, there are all sorts of motivations that can play in...keep the "site guy" happy...(no idea why though, you're "free").. separate credits or bail...or quit caring.....it is free work after all...

This is what I would do too. If the person making decisions on photos to be used for the calendar disagrees, then I'd pull my remaining photos out of the mix.
