Question why so blue...

Ok folks, i have been takeing pictures but the people have had a blue tint to them....can any one help me and tell me why?? I use a nikon d7000 with a black backround but not always a blac back round, cowboy studio lights wireless triggers......wb is on auto.....thanks in advance

Sounds like a white balance issue. If you're shooting RAW, you should be able to tweak that.

If you're shooting with flashes, I'd suggest setting the in-camera white balance to flash and see if that helps.

Either that or remove the blue filter from the front of the lens.

I have a D7000 too, & sometimes my pictures are too warm or too cool in tone. If you have a blue tint & LR, just move the tint bar a little to the right. It'll warm the tones up nicely.

Does the problem manifest itself both on prints and when viewed on the monitor? If your prints are coming back OK, it's possibly a calibraton issue with your monitor. You also could consider using a grey card to set a custom white balance for your studio lighting shots.

Good point. I was gonna say too, that you should be able to adjust it in post. Either with the Color Temperature, or Auto Color Correction. ( Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. )
