Default Opinion on this sale - Too Good to be true?

I'm in the market for a new camera, found this package for $1200 CDN. Seems too good to be true, maybe I'm crazy, please let me know what you think of it.

CAMERA - CANON EOS 7D -18 MP-Digital SLR-NEW PRICE!!!!!!! - St. John's Cameras For Sale - Kijiji St. John's Canada.

It just seems like too good of a deal.

I wouldn't say that's "too good to be true". The price is about right for the camera, EOS 7D is selling for $1100 on Amazon.. The rest of it looks like cheap crap.. If the advertiser paid $3300 for the gear, then he's either an idiot or a liar.

The price is "ok".. Perhaps a little expensive for a secondhand camera. Not the bargin you seem to think it is.

On the Canadian Amazon the 7D runs for 1599.99 which is why I am so perplexed about the priice of this set. I really have no interest in the rest of the gear.

Well I'm not sure of the difference between the value of Australian money and Canadian money, but the ad says it's in Canada, the site is being hosted in the Netherlands (doesn't make a difference really).

This could be the price difference that you're seeing.

I agree with Jon though, the macro lenses look cheap, Tamron is a 3rd party brand (but not necessarily bad), and the other accesories could be 3rd party and/or low quality like the filters and such

Not to scare you away but I got kinda ripped off buying a used camera. It works but it has an overheating issue and it has been dropped before causing some problems with the viewfinder lining up with the actual photo (it shows the picture being framed a bit higher in the viewfinder).

If you're looking to get a camera cheaper you could try getting a factory refurbished one. The price is usually a couple hundred off and it's basically new.
