Default I'm back!

I have finally reached the other end of a long dark tunnel. I've had a few ginormous jobs lately. Two different companies hired my wife and I to create ALL of the content for their web sites. My wife is a writer, so she created the text, We both have an extensive background in video, so we did 37 videos (shot and edited) for one site, and 22 videos for the other site. Then I had to do a total of 74 photo shoots in total for both sites, sort through and process all of the photos and get them prepped for print ads and optimized for web as well. In the end I delivered over a little over 1200 final photos. All of this was done in the past 5 weeks!

I am so over working 6am to midnight every day! Today is finally my first day off in about three months! Not that I don't have other work to get done or anything, but I flippin need a day of nothing!

So what have I missed? anything fun happen on here while I've been missing?

Welcome back.
How did the rum shoot go, BTW, or was that one of the jobs you're talking about?

Actually, the Rum shoot was a quick one thrown into the middle of it all. It went great! Got some fantastic shots of the drinks, Though I spent forever processing them. I would choose one that I thought was just right, but kept deciding I liked parts of other shots (like the water droplet condensation), so spent a ton of time getting pieces and parts from other shots and masking them in. Quite a process. But when I Finally showed them to the client, their jaws hit the floor. That was a good feeling!

Now I need to find someone here who can build out of bamboo to create a moveable bamboo tiki bar for the next series of shots and beyond. They wanted to go with something different for their future ads. They have always just had their 4 types of rum in bottles lined up and shot over nice scenery around the island. I convinced them it was time to step it up a bit. So I have pitched the idea of a tiki bar using two models. One is a guy behind the bar making/serving drinks, the other is the woman getting the drink. Different scenarios and all that. Then the bar will be mobile so it can be set up on different beaches around the island. I'll keep you posted on how this process goes!
