Default A cool, wet, gray, rainy day

Just wondering what some of you do on days like this...any general areas of photography that one can get out and look for? Everything looks so flat and one-dimensional, no color. Is it a time to think B&W? Would very much like to hear opinions and suggestions. Thanks so much.

I think B&W conversions do well for rainy days. That and macro photography. Things seem so much more interesting covered in water droplets

Really soft diffuse lighting, and often very moody skies if it's rainy, lower contrast between sky and ground, possible texture in the air, great for photography. Rainslicks on the ground providing interesting textures - I'm a bit surprised to hear flat and colorless- maybe try a polarizing filter . The real deal is just keeping your gear dry.

Same here - and even a little snow....but there is always something out there that will catch your eye - you just have to find it!
