Hi there, my name is Serj and I'm a photographer.
I know, there are people from lots of cities, countries. So I'd like you to answer some questions - it wouldn't take much time and you'll help me writting a collumn about foreign photographers. 1) where are you from? 2) since what time are you in photography? 3) do you have your own style of taking shots? 4) is it your job or just a "hobby"? 5) do you like to get on with foreign photographers? You can not to answer any questions you don't want to. Thank you. |

Thanks for involving!
Anyway, I'm just trying to make a quick overview about photographers from different places. However, learning something that way is very good experience. |

1. The UK, but I live in Switzerland.
2. About 12 months. 3. Sort of. I prefer landscapes, I usually try to include water in some form. When taking portraits I like to mix natural light with flash. 4. It's a hobby. I would love to turn pro, but not yet.. Not until the kids have left home and I've actually developed skill. 5. Everyone is a foreigner to me, so I don't have any choice.

1) North Carolina originally. Wisconsin now.
2) Started when I was about 10 years old (I'm 27 now), took a few classes over summer. Made lots of bad bad shots on Auto with an SLR until I went to college and majored in photography. Got a job in software, and I didn't touch my camera for three years. Got fired from said job, and picked up my camera again. 3) Everyone else says I do, but mostly I just shoot. If I have a style, I couldn't explain it. 4) Right now, it's kind of a paying hobby. One day, I'd like it to be a job. 5) Sure, I'll try anything once

I'll take a shot at these:
1) where are you from? USA, southern California. 2) since what time are you in photography? First time using a camera was in 3rd grade. Decades ago. It was a whale watching field trip. Most of my shots of the whales were beyond bad. 3) do you have your own style of taking shots? Not sure, I have been told I do have a style though. 4) is it your job or just a "hobby"? Just a hobby, but I am pretty serious about it. 5) do you like to get on with foreign photographers? I love meeting new people. But am married, so anything more than platonic is out of the question.
