No, it's more nuanced than that. Abortion, any way you slice it, it's premeditated murder. If the woman didn't get government handouts for each child she had, she might be inclined to put them up for adoption. Or get a job.

The people vocal on banning abortion would rather she didn't need handouts, e.g., get a job or have a stable family unit where someone can provide for her. Barring that, private charities should take care of her basic living needs, not the taxpayer at large.

There's a very simple solution to this problem...it's called tubal ligation. The state should make her get sterilized since she can't control her impulses. Anyone with that many kids, certainly doesn't need to bring another mouth to care for into this world. Especially when she can't take responsibiltiy (baby-daddies either) for their own behavior. If I lived in the same state, I would gladly pony up taxes to assist her in preventing more children. Heck, we do this for other animals all the time!

I think if you are for banning abortion you should automatically become a foster parent. You want to take away someone's right to choose? Fine, you don't have a right to chose either, here's your kid.

I guess they would have to sneak this one up on people though; put it to a nationwide vote, and just take down all the names from the "ban abortion" crowd before they publish the complete details of the plan.

That's a non sequitur. I will gladly be responsible for all the babies you create after you give me total control of your sexual behavior. You're not allowed to have sex, problem solved. If you do have sex, you are solely responsible for the consequences of your actions. Poor judgement or lack of self control does not give you the right to murder your unborn baby.
