So my work computer got replaced, and with it went all my bookmarks....
I had found a site that had great reviews but most importantly they had side by side pictures from each lens of the exact same stills for a given focal length. It was great to be able to compare the Nikkor/Sigma/Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 and see images of the same subjects (random objects) at the same focalength and aperture for all 3 on screen. Does anyone know what site that is!?!?!?

I'd love to see what site this was as well, definitely sounds like a good resource. So I'm bumping this thread back up so it doesn't get lost

If it wasn't one of these two, you'll have to let us know when you find it, because the first is the first thing I thought of, and the second is something I found through a Google search.

Was it this one:
Canon & Nikon Digital SLR Camera and Lens Reviews at The-Digital-Picture.com Whoops, Boomer suggest this one. If none of the above try Googling side by side lens comparison.

I use SLR Gear pretty frequently. They've got a pretty exhaustive list of lenses.

So those are good, but not the one i had before.... ahhhhhh it was nice because like i said, every lens in a given catagory had file photos of a half dozen still settings so you could compare them side by side at the same shutter, iso, and aperture.... I will be hitting google hard, this is killing me or else it IS one of those sites and I am missing the section i remember.
In review I think what i did was load each lens in it's own tab, like say these two: Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 But the sample images are completely different so comparison is tough, there is no side by side image that is identical. Thats was the prilliant part, if someone said that the sigma was softer around the edge @ 200mm f/2.8 than the nikon you could look at the same still life on both lenses @ 200mm f/2.8 and see JUST HOW MUCH SOFTER it really was, and thus, wether the cost correction was worth it to you, comparing a landscape to a protrait makes it much harder to get a fell for subtle differences....

Any chances you were logged into your Google account on your work computer? It might be in your Web History if so.
