Default Just bought a Minolta X-700 w/ accessories. What do you think?

I just paid $90 for a Minolta X-700 body with 5 lenses, a 2x teleconverter, a speedlight, and cases for most of said lenses, with a camera bag. I have the manuals/papers that came with each of said items.
Body:
The body is in flawless condition minus a bit of cosmetic stuff that can easily be cleaned off. The mirror and viewfinder display thing are both very clean. It has a lower-half leather case on it.
Lenses/accessories are as follows:
Minolta MD 50mm 1:1.7 (lens cap clips are broken so it doesn't stay on)
- Condition: Very decent. A little bit of dust and such on the glass, it looks all external though
Gemini MC Auto 28mm 1:2.8
- Basically perfect condition. No lens cap, but physically and optically great looking
Prospec MC Auto 28-70mm 1:3.5-4.5
- Condition is great. Doesn't have any residue on it anywhere
JC Penney 135mm 2.8
- Lens coating looks like it's "crackling" away from the outer-edge of the lens on both sides. I've never seen that before on a lens, but I guess I haven't really looked at many older lenses
Gemini 80-200 1:4.5
- May have a slight amount of dust on the inside, but it looks like it's mostly/all external
Gemini Auto 2x teleconverter M/MD
- Doesn't look to have ever really been used.
Minolta Auto 280PX Speedlight
- Batteries were left in and have corroded, on/off switch was stuck but I will probably be able to loosen it. I think if I clean off the contacts with some rubbing alcohol or electronic contact spray I should be able to get it clean and working.

3 lens cases, 1 teleconverter case, the flash case, and a camera bag along with the papers/manuals that came with everything.

Tell me what you guys think!! Was this a good deal? Does anyone want to buy it for more than I paid for it ? Or buy any of the specific lenses/accessories? I do want a new camera but I was looking at the D7000. I just happened to come across this at a flea market haha

I think the X-700 is a grat film camera for it's age. I still have two of them to use when I want to shoot film. The lenses other than the Minolta are probably lesser quality. it's only a good deal if it's something you're going to use. If you want to shoot film I think you'll be happy with the camera.

I plan on playing around with it for a few weeks and then selling everything for profit as I want to buy a Nikon D7000

That camera was my first SLR. I still have it, but haven't used it in eight years. It's a great camera. I loved it.

I have one of these squirrelled away in my basement somewhere.. Taken some nice photos with it before I went Nikon.

Sounds like the 135 2.8 might have a bit of mould. Store it away from the other lenses so the spores can't spread.. There may be some info on how to clean it if ou look about, it's a really useful length, so worth going to the effort if you can.

The price you paid for it seems reasonable, considering what you got. All those lenses wil fit on Sony Alphas so you would probably make a profit selling them separately.. Whether or not it was worth the money depends on whether you use it.. If you don't and it sits in a box like mine then it's expensive, even if you paid $5. If you use it a fair bit, then it's an absolute steel with some nice lenses. oh, and you'll probably be able to find lens caps on eBay..

The Minolta MD, MC and SR mount lenses don't fit the Sony Alphas, it's the Minolta A or AF mounts that do.

I would check Ebay to see what each individual items are being bought for. The X700 and the 50mm are probably the more desirable out of the collection. I have 2 X370's that I still use. They are older, stripped down versions of the X700 but still pretty nice cameras to use. Did you get the prints from your first roll back?

Thanks for the link Jon. the mold is on an inner element and I can't get to it though (unless there's a way to disassemble lenses? Seems Risky but it's already messed up lol). Bryan's right though, you need an adapter to get these lenses to work, they're too old for Sony Alphas.
As for the roll, I haven't developed it yet because I thought $10 was a bit pricey for prints and a CD, and I haven't had time to shop around too much. I'll try a couple other places and see what I can find.

Is there such a device that you can buy that will take a roll of film and upload it to your computer via USB? I don't really need prints (at least not when I'm just learning) and I do really love editing. It'd be a shame to miss out on it all

You would have to at least have the film developed where you would have the negatives. If you have a scanner, you could then scan the negatives on the computer. You have the option of developing only at most places, but I think it's the majority of the cost, anyway.
