Hi All,
I travel a fair bit for work and make use of podcasts frequently. I am looking for good photography podcasts that can teach me (a beginner) to learn photography on the go. Can anyone suggest some that I can check into? Something like the DPS school, but in audio format? To Darren Rowse, ever thought of augmenting this site with Podcasts? Thanks for all your help. It really depends on what you're looking for. There are podcasts on Lightroom or Photoshop, and no doubt other software for photographers. There are podcasts that are gear-oriented, some are on news in the photography world, another I can think of on the history of photography...
My suggestion would be to go to iTunes and do a search among podcasts there - you'll get quite the long list of results. Ones I enjoy include This Week in Photography, The Photography Show, The Art of Photography. |

Try googling photography podcasts. When I did that, I found several lists, from which I listen to Tips from the Top Floor, Photofocus, Martin Bailey's podcast, TWiP, DTown TV, and TWiT Photo regularly.
Each of these is a fairly random collection of news, comments, and advice. A new photographer won't pick up a coherent understanding from a few shows, but there's good stuff in all of them and they'll supplement the knowledge of anyone who understands the basics.

I'm curious to know how well you can learn what is essentially a visual art through an audio medium.. Let me know how it works out.
