I try to maintain a Top Ten set on Flickr. Of the things I've taken and uploaded, I feel like these are the ones I'm most happy with that represent the types of things I want/try to do.
Top Ten - a set on Flickr Of that set, the frozen water at the falls in Sioux Falls, SD is probably my favorite, or at least it's the only one I've made a big print of. |

Very nice images Boomer and I like that Top Ten idea - I may even steal it

I think the image I'm most proud of is one I took about 32 yrs ago of my in laws - it showed the love they had for each other. My mother-in-law passed away in October. I framed that photograph and we gave it to her husband and it is his favourite. That pleased me immensely.

Probably my favorite picture is a capture I got from the latter description--unintentional, though I'm more likely to call it "lucky".
![]() Golden Geese in the Field by ceremus, on Flickr This was earlier in the spring of this year, and I was at a small lake in a botanical garden. I was wandering, trying to spot any wildlife close enough to nab, and I came across a little peninsula of land that jutted into the lake a bit. After just a couple of minutes this little family of geese, two parents and two very young goslings waded in from the water and started grazing not three meters from me, not a care in the world. This was a pretty small spit of land too mind you, couldn't have been more than ten meters across. Knowing the parents could have gotten aggressive with their young so close by, I made sure to give them as much room and freedom to roam around as I could while photographing them, and they never once hissed at me. I think they may have been fairly used to people, I know some of the geese in that park have been tagged. I got a few shots I was happy with, but this one stood out from the rest.

Most of the times, the shots which I didn't have time to analyze and compose/recompose, are the ones that get more attention. It's over thinking that's usually killing me. The scenes I've successfully taken pictures of, at random and spontaneous moments are the most that I am proud of.

This one is my favorite.
![]() This one is the honorable mention. It's a candid shot of my Wife and MIL. They have had an acrimonious on/off relationship over the years. In the past five years they seemed to have mended their fences. I think this pic captures that.

While I somehow seem to get the most praise for this one:
Sleepy sunrise | Flickr - Photo Sharing! I'm actually more proud of this one: ![]() because it was actually my first totally planned landscape shot, it was tricky to shoot and required more difficult processing than any other shot. |

I didn't know what to expect when I went down to the beach under the Cliff House in San Francisco with my DSLR for the first time. I ended up with a set that set a new higher standard for myself. I think this was the best one and I also like it because this is the first exposure blend I made (glad I shot RAW).
![]() This one is one of my best shots. I took it at the same beach a year later and made another exposure blend:
