Default The neutrino may prove the true revolutionary image of 2011

Nice pic. Notice the golden spiral in the middle!

"What does history look like? This year has produced its images of revolution and riot and the humiliation and death of dictators. But will any of these familiar pictures in the news or the stories they illustrate prove as consequential as this abstract, colourful and ethereal picture of the tracks of tiny particles called neutrinos?...."

The article is really interesting.. more so than the photo to me, but that's just me, I'm a bit of a physics junkie.. I think I missed my calling!

The possibility that Einstein (and all that came after it) could be turned on it's head (however unlikely) is tantalizing! There's already strong studies showing the initial results aren't correct, but just the thought of something traveling faster than light. Schweet.

Um.. isn't posting a torrent of a BBC show some sort of infringement?
Or does the BBC allow for it?
And yeah, already saw that.. brilliant.

It should be ok as we pay for all BBC programming and also they offer it out free on VOD.

Cool, just covering your ass seeing as your name is fully on display (not that I think anyone would make the effort to come after you.. but still).

Technically it's only infringement if he's the one doing the uploading of the copyrighted material. Simply posting a link to infringing material is nothing to worry about (but probably is against the forum rules :P).

That said, it's a cool image; I'd still like to know the process as I'm pretty damn sure it's not a PHOTO, but instead most likely a rendering based on the collected movement data from the neutrino.

When knowing what it's capturing I agree. had I not known, I probably wouldn't love it as much if at all.
