OCD Photgraphy Obession :confused:

Hey everyone! So I'm still rather new at photography, been doing it "seriously" for just about a year now and I'm a pretty regular poster/commenter in the critique section. I find myself almost obsessing about it though, whenever I post a photo it's like an itch that I can't scratch enough I have to check my thread like every 10 minutes or I feel anxious. It feels like I'm addicted to feedback I almost crave it like a drug. Does anyone else feel like this? Is this normal, or should I think about getting some help? Even right now I'm writing this post "while I'm at work" to keep myself distracted from the fact that I have a new critique thread up and can't quick checking it LOL. Maybe I should just do some work LOL.

I'm guessing you also check your email every five minutes as well as FB, Twitter and others, right?

Just remember if you and/or your clients like your images then nothing else matters.

Jim you would be correct, I guess now that I think about it, it doesn't seem all that strange in the thick of it because I do it with everything else too. Hmmm way to put things in perspective. I guess I just notice it more because it's still rather new to me.

That's what everyone tells me, and I try to keep that in mind, I just get so self critical and want to do better and better that I read all I can, but at the same time I want to hear what others in the field think or suggest because in the back of my mind I want to be the best, I don't want anyone to look at my photographs and have anything negative to say "even though I realize that is impossible".

The most you can hope for is to be the best in your field and with ART that is still subjective.
