I have spent some time looking at a lot of people's web pages, fb pages, etc. and everyone is SO great! I got my first camera when I graduated high school. I've had the canon eos now the t2i. I, within the past year or so, have really enjoyed taking photos and wanting to learn all I can.
I'm just curious what got you into photography? Did you learn on your own or go to school for it? I'm not looking for anything other than to be nosey how you got not the love of photography?

The mighty hand of god touched me and he said, "go forth and make the world a better place through amazing automotive photography!"
Well that and the flying spaghetti monster just loves me because I'm awesome. The real question here is, how the hell do you get into photography without a blessing from the Devine?!?!!!!!!onejuan111!!! |

When I was a teenager I read a book about the psychology of photographs (can't remember the name of it)... It talked about stuff like when one person leans their head towards another, they are close with them, etc. So, I started checking out people's positions and facial expression in pictures and all. Then I got into shooting. In college I took some photography courses, and learned how to develop and print. That was so much fun.

Like you, OP, I got my first camera for my highschool graduation. It was a Canon Powershot IS S1 and it sucked. Right from the beginning. The focus was never quite right and eventually it would only turn on once in a blue moon. But, it survived for a number of years and did take some good pictures while I was in Brazil (a trip I won). After that, I wanted a new camera and eventually convinced my parents to buy me my D40x. I did no research before hand, stupid I know, but I love my camera. It's not the best, it wasn't the best at the time I bought it, but I really do enjoy it.
