Question What are YOU Thankful for?

Well, here in the US, tomorrow it will be a week until Thanksgiving. So I thought I would start a thread where we tell all the things we're thankful for. (Hey, that's what you do at Thanksgiving, isn't it? )
Be serious or funny... Tell as many as you want, about whatever you want, as long as it's something you're thankful for!
And even if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving in your part of the world, you can still add what you're thankful for! We can always be thankful, ya know!

I'll start out...

I'm thankful for my nice big home, my camera, and my warm bed...
And my family, my crazy cat, (even though she scratches me all the time!) and my friends.
I'm thankful to the creators of DPS for creating this awesome site! And to the moderators and administrators who keep things running smoothly! =)

And... I'm also thankful that I have two Grandma's houses to go to on Thanksgiving for TWO Thanksgiving meals... in the same day!! LOL!

Let's try to keep this going at least until Thanksgiving, shall we?

Your turn!

Good post here

First of all, I have to say I'm thankful for my fiance "She'd kick my butt if I didn't put her first " Lol, I'm kidding, I love her.

I'm thankful for my family who have supported me through the good and the hard times

I'm thankful for a place to live, even if it is a 1 Bdrm Apartment .

I'm thankful for my camera and this great resource known as DPS. As well as all the people here that have helped me get to the point I'm at with my photography.

To be honest, I could probably think of a hundred different things I'm thankful for. But I'll end it with this. I'm thankful to be living in a place where I have freedom of speech, freedom to wear my gun on my hip, and the freedom to express my Photography however I want.

Happy early Thanksgiving

A year ago, I had just been fired from my job, I was bitter as all git out, and didn't know where rent, food, electricity, and the mountain of pre-existing debt were going to be dealt with. This week, I turned down a job offer for double what I currently make. I'm thankful I have the security to do that.

I'm thankful for every day above ground. Everything else is gravy.

I'm extremely thankful for my wife, thankful for the person in her office who knew CPR., thankful that the ambulance only took a few minutes to arrive, thankful the paramedic didn't give up with the defibrillator, thankful for the great emergency staff, thankful for the brilliant cardiologist, thankful for the extraodinary ICU team, and thankful the hospital had recently acquired a heart pump machine. If only one of these didn't happen or didn't perform above and beyond five and half years ago my beautiful wife would not be with me today.

I am thankful for a son whom we are very proud of, and thankful for my dear old mother who'll turn ninety next year. Thankful for my father who passed away about this time last year and thankful for my mother-in-law who passed away in the beginning of October.

Thankful for having our house, being able to have what so many haven't and I'm even thankful for all you guys at DPS (well most of you ).

I'm not thankful for my brother.

I'm thankful for wonderful parents who gave me a good start in life.
I'm thankful for a wonderful wife who loves me and stuck with me through thick and thin for over 33 years.
I'm thankful for a wonderful daughter who's halfway through university and has the soul of an angel.
I'm thankful to have had a steady job, although dreadful, for 35 years 'till my retirement.
I'm thankful for the opportunity to learn that present themselves day after day.
To paraphrase Arthur C. Clarke (Rendez-vous with Rama): In my life, I've lived, I've loved and I've learned. I'll die happy.
And since I'm Canadian, I'm glad that Thanksgiving is over for me.
Two weeks of turkey leftovers will do that to ya!

All that I have are blessings and honestly they belong to my Lord. I'm thankful I can trust Him.

To list everything, well there is not enough paper, screen space, hdd space, to express it all. The most important of them is having the Bible in my language and in my hand (I really do read it). All of the other wonderful things extend from that- my wife and children, my parents, her parents, uncles and aunts, lifelong friends, pets.....

Do I complain, admittedly yes, sometimes when I feel lonely or hurt or selfish or desperate. If I would stop and count my blessings I probably wouldn't complain.

Thankfulness is really learned behavior.

We don't do thanksgiving, but the secret to a happy life is to make sure the simple things in your life are the ones that give you the most pleasure.

I had cancer when I was 18.. I'm thankful to be alive.

I'm married to a lovely woman that loves me and puts up with my moods, I have a nice house in a safe part of the world, a great stepson and a good job, I'm thankful for all that.

I'm thankful that I have the chance to appreciate the world around me and look at it with eyes that are inspired by the awe and wonder that surrounds me.

I'm thankful that I have the opportunity to give something back to the world occasionally.

I'm thankful for surviving a lot of painful stuff that happened over the years. It didn't destroy me, though that was the intention, nor did it harden my heart.
I'm thankful that I haven't turned out to be like my parents.
I'm thankful for my daughter. She's a ray of sunshine.
I'm thankful I can still trust people.
I'm thankful for meeting a really great guy. We've been married 4 1/2 years now. He treats me really well in spite of my moodiness & the fact that I disappear into photography/editing mode & get oblivious to everything else. He still loves me as I do him!
I'm thankful that we have a nice house, & a dog who enjoys travelling.
Also for photography, art, & pets, because if I never had any of them in my life, I might not be here to make this list.
I'm thankful I can get out & do stuff I like to do.
Also I'm thankful to DPS, & all the great people in this community who all share the same passion...photography.
