It's not hitting the shelves until next year. What I'd like to know is if there's an additive for paint in case you want/need to repaint a surface it's been applied to.

In general I think photographers would get good use from the product.

Will they produce that superhydrophobic coating in like a skin cream?

The problem with that is it will be absorbed through the skin into the blood stream and eventually to the liver, kidneys and brain, those areas are reserved for alcohol absorption ..can't risk having alcohol repelled.

Can't have that happening lol.

On a more realistic side though, I can see this being applied to clothing sometime down the line. As a motorcycle rider, I know I would've loved that all those time's I was out on a long ride and had to go hours soaking wet because of some random rain storm lol.

Every time I scan past this thread title, I think of Tobias Funke and porn that utterly fails at its goal. Makes it impossible for me to take advances in technology seriously.

Oh, silly me, I didn't think that idea through. Somedays there is too much blood in my alcoholstream & I really shouldn't touch anything that could exacerbate that condition.

God yeah.. Hurts when you get soaked and it's still an hour before you get home.. Hadn't thought about that.. Even gloves coated in this stuf would be a pleasure.

Definitely. Sometimes those "frog suits" just aren't practical. They're oversized and you have to worry about keeping them off the engine. I'm not sure how pliable this stuff is, but if they can make it for clothing, I'd definitely buy it lol.
