Default Saving edited RAW files for the web

I generally shoot in RAW and I use Adobe Camera RAW to do a lot of my editing. However when it comes to saving the files - whether it be Tiff or Jpeg - when I upload to the web, or email it to somebody I sometimes find the following issues:

* any saturation/vibrance editing is lost
* if a sharpened the image a little - despite looking perfect on my screen in any application - it comes out incredibly grainy and it looks aweful
* any level adjustments are lost

I always save the jpegs / tiffs down in the highest possible quality etc, but I am still seeing these issues. do you have any advice on what I might be doing wrong or some tricks/tips I could try?

Are you using sRGB colour space?

Have a look at the exif data of one of your pics. It may show the colour space

You may even be able to set your camera to sRGB.

A lot of websites will recompress your images when you upload them.

facebook is a classic for making them blurry and crap. Best res to upload to facebook is either 720 or 960 on the longest side. You'll see an immense difference
