I love to travel and model photography, what I thought what could actually motivate me to travel was to travel to a some big or somewhat big city (pre-planned) and have 3-5+ model photoshoots lined up. Of course they'll be one on one photoshoots because I feel most comfortable consenting only one model right now. The shoots will be all outdoors and my goal is to work on my environmental portraits (outdoors). The tour is about 12 months long depending on demand and I have set my first stop in Philadelphia and I have about 4 models already booked to shoot with me (on trade of course). Now I never been to philly because its a 3 hour drive one way, so I thought what could pay that off most was to get 3-5 different model shoots for I can add a lot more diversity into my portfolio.
What do you guys think? Good direction or bad? I am asking because I know some may actually care and I am listening even though I may not "act" like I am... I am focusing on shooting a lot more in 2012 and December this year as I have scheduled 4 models in a full day shoot in philly, and one coming up next week, and maybe another 2-3 shoots in the studio in december.

thanks, I have talked to the models before hand on wardrobe and spots they want, right now I'm not looking for nothing too special as in spots just urbany feel so even a simple clean brick wall would be ok, and maybe some walls with graffiti, etc.. Just bringing my two lenses, or maybe just one, don't know yet as doing street shoots being light weight is important, I may also try to do off-camera flash in unpopular areas (little to no foot traffic).

I say bring at least 2 lenses and what you think you can carry. Reflectors if not off camera flash for the shadows. You could try parks as well, or even farm fields or playgrounds to get the playful feel in the shots. it might help the models loosen up and have fun as well. All depends on what kind of shots and variety you want. Travel without adventure isn't any fun.
