shutterspeed and aperture
There are SHUTTERSPEED and APERTURE settings on my camera and various settings from 2 to 14 M and ISO 64 to 1600 Totally baffling is there a formula for what settings are for what picture and what on image size is S16:9 S4:3 S3:2 M16.9 M3:2 M4:3 L16:9 L$4:3 L3:2 And Focal length from4.3 up to 89.6 the equivalents being between24mm and 500 I have not got a clue what this is all about, but I would really like to know there is also a graph thing that moves ??? I don't have a Fuji camera, but my Panasonic P&S has similar settings. The S, M and L should be for the file size. The L ones should be the largest files with the highest megapixel numbers. The S ones should have the lowest megapixel count. The 2 through 14 numbers sound like the megapixel numbers.
The 16:9, 3:2 and 4:3 are the ratios of the width to the height of your images. So, you can choose if you want more of a widescreen format like 16:9, or the more conventional 3:2 aspect ratio. Don't know about the graph thing unless you're referring to a histogram, but I haven't seen a histogram that moves (unless you have to scroll to see it all).

It's probably a live histogram - I have an Olympus E-P2 that has that option on the screen, so you can see the histogram before you shoot. Kind of neat.
