Default posting photos

Ok, so this is my first post here and i realise how stupid this question is, but I was wanting to post a photo to the critique forum and got kind of confused as to how i should best go about posting photographs. I have a flickr page but i'm not sure how to use that to post pictures. Help would be very appreciated (also on resizing if necessary).

Many thanks!
