If my old computer died, I purchase a new on... does Adobe require me to purchase new software?

Do you still have the old disks? Or was it a digital purchase? Either way. you should still have the product key for it and shouldn't have to purchase any new software just because you're changing machines. I have a few machines, and they're all running the same copy of Adobe.

If you are registered as the owner of the software, Adobe has your key on file. Just log in at Adobe.com

If you find that the key doesn't allow you to register, call adobe. Happens to me at work, you just need to explain the problem and they'll sort you out.. The licence just allows one installation on one piece of hardware at a time.

I've got a brand, spankin' new computer (imac) I just got yesterday. So far, no problems re-installing CS3. So long as you're not upgraded to Lion OSX yet.....

Just don't ask me about Aperture 2. Then I'm going to start to scream. Like last night. Grrrrrr.

As everyone else has said, so long as you have a proper copy and you are the owner of that software, you shouldn't have any problems.

Cheers, Corina! Had to spend every dime we had and didn't have (credit) to get me one. My old one died and I just couldn't do anything with photography without a computer.

I'm so excited...I feel like I got my juices flowing again. Took photos of birthday party today and I'm so happy with the results!

According to my license for CS5 it allows installation on two computers, but you need to turn off the registration on one 'puter to use it on the other - damn crazy!
