Default Clocks have changed!!

Ok, how many of you in the northern heisphere hadn't realised that the clocks changed last night? (If they did where you are) and didn't get their extra hour in bed??

My wife was one of them.. Lunch was ready at 11am!!

Haha! Our clocks changed to summertime about a month ago, I almost forgot.

Many, many years ago I was doing an army course and we were out on a field exercise when daylight savings started so we all duly put our watches forward. Came back to camp late at night a day or so later with instructions on what was to happen the next morning. For some reason my alarm didn't go off & I was woken by a fellow soldier, thinking I had just 5 mins to get dressed, sorted & out to the trucks. Was panicking a bit until said soldier says - "It's OK, daylight savings starts NEXT weekend!" Appears we started a week earlier than everyone else & it was only 0600! Not a pleasant way to wake up!

We don't change our time in the United States until next weekend.

Is it white up there in the Great White North yet? Can't wait for the snows.. Having said that, I'm sat in the garden with 25 degrees! Winter starts the week after next apparently!

the clocks don't get changed here in Hawaii. At least a few of the states in the US realize there is no need for the "daylight savings" thing any more. It made sense when the country was more agrarian, but is pointless in the current form of society today.

I remembered not that it makes that much difference. The kids still woke me up early. How come during school days you can't get them out of bed but once the school hols and weeked come round they are up before the dawn chorus?

We also changed clocks yesterday. What about the poor Russians, they changed clocks for some 30 or 40 years and stopped this year!
